Nissin 50th Anniversary

The Cup Noodle. A staple of the college diet. The familiar comfort of noodles in a rich, salty broth. A meal, a package, and a bowl all in one. These are only a few ways to describe the sensation that is Cup Noodles.

Founded in 1958 by the inventor of instant noodles, Momofuku Ando, Nissin paved the way for prepackaged noodle goodness as we know it today. Thirteen years later, in 1971, Cup Noodles hit shelves in Japan. Momofuku Ando first got the idea for Cup Noodles when he heard that his customers had been cooking their instant noodles in their coffee cups.

2021 marks the 50th anniversary of Cup Noodles, and Nissin released a limited edition, 50th anniversary package to celebrate. The collection comes with 9 different flavors of Cup Noodle and 4 distinct flavors of soda inspired by some of their most popular Cup Noodle flavors. That’s right! Cup Noodle flavored soda.
